Doss has a pretty ruff life seeing that he almost killed his brother and has an alcoholic because of WWI. Doss meets a girl named Dorothy after a man has severed artery because of a truck falling on his leg. Desmond uses a pretty cringe worthy pick up line to ask Dorothy out. Life is random some people might have great features and be cut out for modelling but never do it to be their dream of a dancer. That's half of what the quote means you never know how you're life will be. Unless its handed to you. I know every child has dreamed of being a youtuber because you can make videos play video games and get paid. Who would not want that dream but obstacles may stop such as not knowing how to edit or being funny. But its never impossible because you can learn like Homer Hickem did for the math behind rocket science or Stalin to go into power for the Soviet Union. What I'm going at here is go for dreams there's no limits to your dreams but you have to work to earn it.
